A transformation is underway in Central New York
The Syracuse Campus-Community Entrepreneurship Initiative (Enitiative) can be defined as a collaborative partnership among academic institutions, community groups, faculty, students, and community members. Its goal is to provide contacts, resources, and funding support for projects that connect faculty, students, and the community to broaden the reach of entrepreneurial education and innovation in the Central New York region.
SU’s coalition of partners in this effort includes:
• Syracuse University
• Le Moyne College
• Morrisville State College
• Cayuga Community College
• Onondaga Community College
• SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry
• Central New York Community Foundation
• Greater Syracuse Chamber of Commerce
• Messenger Associates, Inc.
• National Grid
• The Gifford Foundation
The Enitiative program builds on the achievements of Syracuse University’s Martin J. Whitman School of Management’s top-ranked Entrepreneurship and Emerging Enterprises (EEE) program, whose mission is the pursuit of entrepreneurial excellence in teaching, research, and outreach to local, regional, and national ventures.
