Talking Business: A Conversation With ...Talking Business: A Conversation With…was a series of 13 monthly events (April 2008 to April 2009) for small and micro business owners, as well as business students. The series aimed to provide valuable lessons from successful business people and resources to assist the current and future business endeavors of students and community members. Recaps of the events are provided below, and each event can be seen on the Enitiative eVideo webpage. Art Zimmer - April 2008
This event featured Art Zimmer, who has owned 12 businesses -- in two different states -- over the course of his life. Those businesses included candy manufacturing, a ski resort, newspaper, print shop, hotels, and restaurants. J. Sean Branagan - May 2008This event featured J. Sean Branagan, who currently runs two businesses - Communigration and C3 Strategic - and is described as a "serial entrepreneur," having started 5 businesses. Wendy Cobrda - June 2008The June event featured Wendy Cobrda, who moved from a home-based enterprise to a full-fledged business in the Syracuse Technology Garden's incubator office space.
Brenda Lotito - July 2008
The July event featured Brenda Lotito, whose passion for worm farming has moved from a hobby to a growing business enterprise. Her company now provides innovative on-site services to utilize food waste and create a marketable compost fertilizer product. Kevin Delaney, Barbara Molvar, Bernadette Mroz, & Nicole Samolis - August 2008
The August event was titled "The Ugly Truth About Small Business," and featured Kevin Delaney (insurance agent), Barbara Molvar (business broker), Bernadette Mroz (business counselor), & Nicole Samolis (entrepreneur).
Kathy Dwyer, Amanda Nicholson, Trisha Torrey - September 2008The September event featured a trio of experts discussing the do's and don'ts of marketing. Kathy Dwyer (President, TAG Group LLC), Amanda Nicholson (Assistant Professor of Retail Management), and Trisha Torrey (former owner of IntegriMark Communications) shared their insights. Suzanne Kondra-DeFuria - October 2008

Ron Ehrenreich, Jason Eaton & others - February 2009It's the Economy, Stupid: What's on Every Business Person's Mind Ron Ehrenreich, Jason Eaton & others discuss the state of the economy.
